Featured Artist Week May 13-20 ~Lumbe (https://www.deviantart.com/lumbe) I really don't have that much to say about this artist - and yet the art speaks volumes to me. I like the fragility of it. The sense I get that the images are going to dissolve and re-appear from a slightly different angle within seconds. It is hard to find one point in her art that is not moving somewhere else. I also like the raw feeling of the techniques - the illusion that bits and pieces are missing, that if you look closely are the needed spaces where nothing can be added. Give her a good look. Featured Artist Week May 6-12 ~Rickbw1 (https://www.deviantart.com/rickbw1) Rick is one o my Favorite Artists in Deviant Art - on the one hand he creates rather "traditional images" on the other hand he adds a freshness and a "new-think" to that traditional image. His Art can be seen both in its details, as very well executed and innovative technically, and in its context/concept as very encompassing of human emotion - something I like very much. I get a sense that he is more lead by curiosity about where a certain element is going to take him, than by what would please the audience.
